The Zimbalist family, Judith, Jeff and our beloved cats, Daisy and Lilly had been living both in New York City and in our 1800 farm house in Chatham Center, New York. We are now full time residents of Columbia County, New York, and our farm, Chatham Alpacas, has gone from being a dream, to becoming a reality.
First we owned ½ an alpaca (as in co-owned). Then, over the next two years, we carefully selected our foundation herd, participated in shows with splendid results, built friendships within the Alpaca community nationwide, and found ourselves enjoying rewarding relationships with our wonderful new clients.
We have come to learn that the heart of this business is the love and respect we have for these gentle Alpacas who have, day by day, changed our lives.
If you are new to the business, we know you will develop a passion for Alpacas just as we have. If you are already an Alpaca breeder, we fully understand your joy, devotion and addiction. Alpacas are a lifestyle and investment opportunity extraordinaire. We would be happy to share our knowledge, experience and support, so as to help guide you toward your goal.
